A girl is taken to the morgue after a brutal accident. Her vitals prove that she is definitely dead. The tech is going about her normal procedures, cutting off her clothing, collecting evidence, taking samples from the body to be sent to the lab. She goes to set something on a shelf when suddenly the girl’s eyes begin to flutter open. She looks around, confused at first.

Suddenly she realizes what is going on, it looks like she’s in a medical office of some sort, she’s naked, her joints feel stiff, and she’s laying on– is that a gurney?? She panics, screaming but paralyzed with fear. The tech turns around, shocked, and tries to calm her down. Obviously this was a mistake. How could this have possibly happened? She was just dead! She calls for the coroner, trying to calm down the panicking girl on her gurney.

The coroner comes in and silently grabs a measuring tape from the tool kit. Without uttering a single word he wraps it around her throat and and squeezes. Terrified at what she’s seeing, the tech cowers in the corner, not sure what to do. The girl struggles wildly, her bruised limbs flailing all over the gurney, her bloodshot eyes wide and bulging in panic and lack of oxygen.

After an intense struggle, the girl’s entire body convulses, and she falls still again. This time, for good. Horrified by everything she just witnessed, the tech stands up and asks the coroner what just happened. He only states, “I hate it when they talk.” The tech justifies his actions by stating that she was already dead. The coroner goes to check if anyone heard, and the tech finishes her investigation like nothing ever happened.
